Built with a mission to help grassroots women in Uttarakhand diversify their income and to promote responsible and community-based tourism, SEWA Atithi connects tourists to the authentic rural and cultural experiences of the Himalayan region. It currently runs 8 operational homestays spread across Almora and Rudraprayag, offering services like guided tours, immersion into the local cuisine, crafts, and many more. SEWA Atithi also promotes agro-tourism, where the travelers get an opportunity to indulge in learning the agricultural activities and understand the farm to plate process. They also get to experience a unique adventure of staying in a home and learning the popularly practiced sustainable livelihood routines.
